Jotanica Market is committed to fostering economic equity and addressing food access disparities in Cartersville and Bartow County. In our first year, we pledge that 30% of the brands we house, will come from Black owned farms, Black-owned essential goods businesses, and local Cartersville small businesses, with a strategic plan for continued growth. This initiative aims to provide a vital market channel for these historically underserved businesses, ensuring their legacy thrives.
Simultaneously, we recognize the critical need to improve food access for our community. Data from Piedmont Healthcare's Community Health Needs Assessment reveals that nearly 30% of Bartow County residents, including those in Cartersville, experience low food access, and a significant portion struggles to obtain healthy food. Jotanica Market is dedicated to bridging this gap.
Realizing this vision requires community collaboration. We are currently in the development phase and invite your support through our crowdfunding campaign. Every contribution brings us closer to establishing a sustainable, equitable grocery store for Cartersville. Please click the link above to donate and be a part of this transformative initiative.
